Top Tip Edition 1! How to make bright lipsticks last

We've all had that embarrassing moment when we realise we either have lipstick on our teeth or it has disappeared apart from the lip line so it looks like all we have applied is a bright lip liner and left our lips nude (so not a good look). Well there are a few solutions to stop this happening YAYYYY!

I am going to use MAC's amplified lipstick in 'impassioned' as the example and before this just went all over my face but I now have a few solutions. It is a bright pink with more orange undertones.

How to stop it disappearing as quickly- There is a very easy solution to stop this and there are 5 main rules-
1. 'Dab' it on so it creates a light lip stain
2. Blot
3. Reapply by 'dabbing' to create a heavier lip stain
4. Blot
5. Apply how you would with a normal lipstick either straight from the tube or with a lip brush

'How long has that lipstick been on my teeth?' This is a regular occurrence for many no matter how much we try to stop it and my tip is
-Apply your lipstick normally and once youre ready stick your finger in your mouth placing your lips around your finger and simply pull it back out. It should take everything that was on your inner lip away.

You can also stop lipstick from bleeding around your mouth by applying concealer just outside your natural lip line once you have applied your lipstick.

Hope this helps Chloe xxx

Review: ST. TROPEZ Gradual Tan Mousse

Okay so to be truthfully honest I hate tanning mousses as a rule they just seem to get all over my clothes, bed sheets and always seem to go patchy on my wrists, backs of my knees and inner elbow no matter what way I apply them I just cant find one to suit me. I wish i could use them beause they always look so natural and give a lovely glow to everyone else.

When I saw that ST. TROPEZ Gradual Tan Mousse was save up to £5.00  in Boots I jumped at the chance as Gradual Tans are my go to product when im wanting that sun kissed look all year round. So normally it is £30.69 for 240ml which i find ridiculous for a fake tan but when it was £25.69 I was a bit more determined to give it a go as I had always wanted to try it but was very wary due to the price.

So onto the application:

I exfoliated as normal on Thursday morning with my soap and glory Pulp Friction and planned to tan on the Thursday night and this worked out perfectly. It was easy to apply and although you cant see where you have applied it I was still left with an even tan HAPPY DAYS! It also didn't stick to any dry patches.  It is fair to say that I didnt wake up with the deepest tan, it was very subtle I reapplied the next night and I have now been left with a gorgeous tan that personally I think looks very natural. It has the same scent as all the other ST. TROPEZ which I don't like and is very strong. However, I wont complain as I have never found a fake tan that I enjoy the smell of. It also contains aloe vera so it is conditioning to the skin and doesn't dry it out which other fake tans can do. Iwouldnt reccomend this if you are wanting a tan for the next night as I find it takes a couple of applications to build it up to the right colour.

I have also been on to the ST. TROPEZ website and they sell this tan for a whole £10.00 cheaper! This is a definite tanning product for a fake tan virgin! I would also reccomend this product to be applied with a tanning mitt.

Rave Review: Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic

Hello my little newbies,
So recently I have been obsessed with skincare and studying Beauty Therapy does not help! Cleanse and Polish by Liz Earle has been a staple in my cupboards for over two years now, it has done wonders! I never let it run out so I always have back up stored. Everyone in my house loves it (I've even caught my brother using it but no one is allowed to find out). In March I decided to step up and get the Skin Tonic to complete the regime and I now LOVE it! Its similar to a toner but isn't one which im super duper glad about as I have such dry, dehydrated, flaky skin and this does not contain any alcohol so its great for people with dry skin and oily skin as if it has alcohol it just strips the skin and makes the skin produce more oil than is required. The smell is also lovely, it might not be everyones cup of tea but I feel that its so refreshing and think that if it was hot in the UK i would be spraying it all day just to make me feel better in hot temperatures. The Instant Boost Skin Tonic does exactly what it says on the bottle. It contains aloe vera, chamomile, cucumber, calendula and vitamin E. The aloe vera is great for softening the skin and the chamomile, cucumber, calendula and vitamin E are great for soothing.  I bought mine out of John Lewis and they did not have a great selection. However, on the Liz Earle website they have sizes ranging from 30ml to 200ml bottles and the price range starting at £5.25 it is a great opportunity to be able to try it just to make sure it works for you. I sometimes suffer from quite bad spots if I am ever allergic to anything and this usually settles it right down. A big thumbs up from me!!!

           Until next time enjoy
